Hearing aids require proper care and cleaning to maintain it’s performance level. Although time consuming, proper cleaning will prolong the lifetime of your hearing aid considerably. Find out here how to properly clean your hearing aids to avoid any damage of the fragile parts.
Before you start, wash your hands and fingers thoroughly. Use a small brush, wax pick or tooth pick to remove any ear wax on the surface of the microphone. Avoid chemical or alcohol solutions to remove dirt where possible. Audio wipes (non-alcohol) are available for purchase.
When cleaning a behind-the-ear or inside-the-ear device, focus on any openings in the hearing aid casing, and gently brush off any dirt deposits with a soft bristled cleaning brush.
